Applying: What To Expect
We want the hiring process to feel as straightforward as possible. Here is a step-by-step look at how things work from the moment you apply to the moment you get an offer.

The Interview Process
Step 1
Submit Your Application
Browse our open positions and apply for any role that matches your background and interests. Be sure to include a copy of your up-to-date resume!
Step 2
Phone Screening
If your experience and interests look like a potential match, a member of our recruiting team will reach out to schedule a brief phone screen. This is a chance for us to learn a bit more about you, and for you to ask early questions about the role and what working at Pelican is like.
Step 3
Complete an Online Assessment
You may be asked to complete online assessments as part of the interview process. You should plan to complete any necessary assessments within two business days of them being sent to you.
Step 4
First Interview
Candidates who move forward will be invited to an in-person or virtual interview with one or more members of our recruiting team. In-person interviews will typically take place at our Corporate Campus in Baton Rouge. If you are located outside the Baton Rouge area, we may conduct the interview by video conference or come to you.
Step 5
Second Interview
Candidates who move forward will be invited to a second interview with the hiring manager. This interview usually takes place at the location of the position. Depending on scheduling, it may happen the same day as your first interview or at a later date.
Step 6
Offer of Employment
Once we select our candidate and they accept, we conduct a background check that includes criminal history, education, employment history, and professional references. Then we get the paperwork started and look forward to welcoming you to the team.
Tip: Be sure to check your email, voicemail, and text messages frequently for updates, requests for additional assessments, etc.
