Program Options

Credit Union Branch Tours

Give your students a behind-the-scenes look at how a credit union works. Tours walk students through daily branch operations, explain the role of a financial institution in a community, and reinforce the importance of saving and managing money. Every student takes home a goody bag.

Best for: Elementary and middle school
What to expect: A Pelican branch team member leads the tour, answers student questions, and introduces key financial concepts in an age-appropriate, engaging way.

Stand-Alone Classroom Presentations

A Nationally Certified Credit Counselor visits your school for a one-time, hands-on financial education session for one or more classrooms. Sessions are interactive, tailored to your grade level, and include activities that reinforce each topic.

Topics include: Saving and Budgeting, Managing Checking Accounts, Preventing Identity Theft, and more

Best for: Elementary, middle school, and high school
What to expect: One visit, one topic, hands-on activity included. You choose the topic that best fits your curriculum or your students' needs.

Financial Education Classroom Series

A Nationally Certified Credit Counselor comes to your high school once a month throughout the school year to deliver a full financial literacy curriculum. This is our most comprehensive offering and culminates in a graduation ceremony that students look forward to.

Best for: High school
What to expect: A yearlong commitment that builds real financial knowledge over time. Students leave with a foundation they can use immediately, whether they're opening their first checking account or planning for life after graduation.

Real Life Financial Simulations

This is the program students talk about long after it's over. Pelican's team of Nationally Certified Credit Counselors and volunteers run a two-hour, immersive budgeting simulation for 50–80 students in grades 8–12.

It's eye-opening, energetic, and gives students a genuine glimpse into adult financial life.

Best for: 8th–12th grade (50–80 students per session)
What to expect: You provide a large room (gymnasium or cafeteria) with 10 tables and chairs for the life stations. Pelican handles everything else.
